Revelation can be a tricky thing. Maybe for every "prophet" there was some jerk whispering from around the corner and laughing his ass off. Our age has no monopoly on assholes after all.

Something that always stuck in my craw about religion, was the fact that since "biblical times" nobody has ever been spoken to by god. Yet there are countless stories and profits... sorry... prophets, that have all conversed with the almighty. Today, plenty of people talk to god through prayer, and they are considered religious or spiritual, but if you hear voices, and god is talking directly to you... then you better hope they get your chest measurement right, because your gonna be fitted for a straight jacket. We can all look to David Koresh for a fine example of being a "god-talker".
