I always found it amusing how god gets all the credit and none of the blame. Man I wish I could get in on some of that action. I bet if I could convince everyone I had some sort of ineffable plan I could get away with anything...Sorry officer, it's all part of my plan! Maybe you'll understand some day.

One thing that has always interested me, and I must attribute this to the late George Carlin, is the power of prayer. Or rather lack of. There are two things that you are supposed to do. You are supposed to pray, and hope/assume that your prayers are answered. However, when your prayers are not answered, you have to say that it is part of god's divine plan, "thy will be done". So if god has a plan, then why the fuck pray at all? What use is it being a deity if everyone can come by and fuck with your plan?
